Admission procedure:-

• Taken on the basis of selection test called Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST).
• Nature of test: Non verbal and class neutral.
• Medium of test: Twenty Indian languages.
• Publicity: Through Doordarshan, Local News Papers ,Cable network, pamphlets and visit of JNV teachers to schools.

Eligibility:-

• Children studying in class V.
• Passed class III,IV and V in preceding years without gap/break.
• Age between 9 and 13 years.
• Not allowed to appear in the slection test for the second time under any circumstances.
• Claim of rural quota entertained only for the candidate studied class III, IV and V in rural area school.

• Area wise: Rural : Urban –75% : 25%
• Gender wise   : Boys : Girls –67% : 33%
• Category wise : SC and ST –Minimum 15% and & 7% ; Maximum 50% for both the categories taken together.
• Physically Handicapped : 3%

• Obtainable Free of charge
• Available in the offices of-

i) District Education Officer,
ii)  Bock Education officer
iii) Headmaster of Govt./Recognized schools
iv) Principal,JNV of the district,
v)  website of JNVof the district,
vi) website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Submission of application form:
            To be submitted to the office of B.E.O. and acknowledgement to be
 kept for further records.

Issue of admit cards:
            Prepared by the office of the Principal, j.n.v. and issued to the
candidates through the office of the respective B.E.O.

Result of selection test:

• Expected to be announced around April/May of the year of admission.
• Displayed ijn the offices of the concerned JNV,our website,D.E.O.,D.M. and web site of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
• Candidates selected are informed by the registered post.
